Fund raising activities at the Palatina Library in Parma
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Palatina Library in cooperation with the Bodoni Museum has begun a strong fund raising campaign that aims to collect funds but also to seize the opportunity to promote the knowledge of the owned heritage.
Thanks to the elegant and lofty atmosphere that allows to organize gala nights and to the cooperation with the Associazione Amici della Biblioteca Palatina and Museo Bodoniano, it has been possible to organize many successful events with the intent to let the people know the collections of the Palatina Library through convivial moments.
We have organized emblematic events to promote the knowledge of our extraordinary Hebrew and Oriental Collection such as a Pesach, an exibition in the occasion of 240 years from the opening of the library, the restoration of manuscripts and printed books and the launch of the campaign "Adotta un carattere" concerning documents and typographic tools of the Bodoni printing house and an important collaboration with two publishers, that has allowed the publication of the first series totally dedicated to the collections of the Palatina Library.
